Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services offered by Classic Painting. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Services

Classic Painting provides residential and commercial painting services, including but not limited to interior painting, exterior painting, power washing, carpentry, and repairs. The specific services to be provided will be outlined in a written estimate or contract.

2. Estimates and Pricing

All estimates provided by Classic Painting are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. Prices are subject to change if:

  • The scope of work changes
  • Unforeseen conditions are discovered during the project
  • Materials or labor costs increase significantly
  • The client requests additional services

Any changes to the original estimate will be communicated and agreed upon in writing.

3. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise specified in writing, payment terms are as follows:

  • A deposit of 30% is required to schedule the project
  • Progress payments may be required for larger projects
  • Final payment is due upon completion of the project

We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. A fee of 2.5% will be added to all credit card transactions.

4. Scheduling and Delays

Classic Painting will make every effort to begin and complete the project according to the agreed-upon schedule. However, we are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Weather conditions
  • Material availability
  • Changes to the scope of work
  • Other circumstances beyond our control

5. Warranties

Classic Painting provides a 2-year warranty on residential projects and a 1-year warranty on commercial projects. This warranty covers defects in workmanship only and does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by the client or third parties
  • Issues resulting from structural problems or pre-existing conditions
  • Color variations due to exposure to sunlight or other environmental factors

6. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide reasonable access to the property during agreed-upon work hours
  • Remove or secure valuable and fragile items from the work area
  • Inform Classic Painting of any special conditions or concerns before work begins
  • Make timely decisions regarding colors, materials, and other project details

7. Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel a scheduled project, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellation fees may apply as follows:

  • More than 7 days before the start date: No fee
  • 3-7 days before the start date: 10% of the project total
  • Less than 3 days before the start date: 25% of the project total
  • After work has begun: Prorated for work completed plus 10% of remaining balance

8. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut.

9. Changes to Terms

Classic Painting reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
